EMOTIONAL ISSUES: Inner and outer beauty, our connection to spirituality, pure bliss
IF THIS CHAKRA IS OPEN: We will begin to experience unconditional love on a consistent basis. We will be more compassionate, kind, and forgiving and we will show more humility. Life will no longer be solely about us and our individual desires. It will become more about serving others because when we serve others, we are serving ourselves. It also comes with the realization and liberation from limiting patterns.
IF THIS CHAKRA IS IMBALANCED WE MAY EXPERIENCE:
Living in our head
Being disconnected from our body and earthy matters
Obsessive attachment to spiritual matters
Closed-mindedness
PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: Pineal gland, brain, nervous system, consciousness

Yoga poses: headstand, down dog, and any posture that brings the crown of the head to the floor such as fish pose
HEALING FOODS:
Since the crown chakra represents our spiritual connection to our surroundings its nourishment really comes from sources other than food, including love and a strong connection to the Divine. Also from sunshine and breathing clean fresh air.

What to know about Lanzarote?
Lanzarote was born through fiery eruptions and has solidified lava streams as well as extravagant rock formations and 300 volcanic cones. The island emerged about 15 million years ago making it the oldest Canary Island. It emerged after the breakup of the African and American continental plates. The greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736 in the area now designated Timanfaya National Park. www.wikipedia.com
It was a 30-minute ferry ride between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Unfortunately, the car hire company just closed for a siesta when I arrived so I needed to wait for 2.5 hours for them to re-open the office. Half an hour went by with me dragging my broken-wheeled luggage behind me looking for the office. As for the address I only had Playa Blanca and the name of the car hire company I was in trouble finding the office. I asked a taxi driver to help me but he said this whole area from the port to town was Playa Blanca so it can be anywhere in the center or by the coast and he had no idea. As I didn’t find the office at the harbor and the other car hire companies I found at the port couldn't help me either, I moved up on the hill toward the main street where there were a lot of people, shops, and residential buildings. I looked carefully in both directions of the road until I finally found it and I spent the next two hours sitting and waiting with my luggage and backpack in front of the car hire office. The great amount of tension that slowly started to build up within me resiled during the two hours and my hunger has grown. When I got to the car I locked my stuff in and ran to the supermarket to grab a bite then back to the car and like a rocket rushed out of the touristic atmosphere.
I was driving from the ferry port toward my accommodation when at some point I noticed that the scenery around me changed and I found myself in a black desert. Here's a mini video clip:
I booked a room in the home of a local surfer. The location seemed great as it was only 10 mins drive away from the over 5 km long golden sand flat beach called Famara Beach. There was a French couple in the other available room who were great fun to be around. They made me laugh so much! However, we split most days and went to discover different parts of the island we did spend the last day together and went surfing. Nadine and Yann had such a sweet inspiring love between each other with sparkles and jokes that it made me want to experience the same and wondered if my twin and I would ever become a couple of such happiness and fun.
AROUND MY ACCOMMODATION
MY SURF EXPERIENCE
This was my first experience surfing and I couldn't stand up on the board. The waves were coming and going fast so I rode them with lying on the board instead. I landed with big bumps in the sand after each ride. I felt like being snapped against the shore and had no control over me falling. I need to practise a lot more! I hurt my leg and my head.
FAMARA BEACH
It was a crazy strong wind in the first 4 days of my stay. I felt rather cold and just escaped in the warmth of the interior of my car where I was protected from the wind. I used these days to drive around and practised meditation on abandoned coastal places because I didn't quite know what to do. It was rough to be outside in this wind, the beaches were not enjoyable, I was not attracted to tourist destinations where I needed to pay the entry fee, and my host wasn't the type who appeared happy bonding with his guests. So I drove into the unknown and tried to bring myself into higher vibration with meditation and with singing along with the songs on the radio. I also visited a town called Teguise where the BIG weekend market took place and climbed the nearby crater. I was missing human connections and bonding. I realized that I didn't have that much fun on my own. I also picked up on feelings such as separation, abandonment, disconnection, and corruption... maybe corruption is not the right word but something with mistrust. I was okay but my soul wasn't. My soul was alone. I felt sad and very not uncomfortable being here. Something was off. A girl traveller, I met much later, told me that she was crying on Lanzarote and the tears were coming from Mother Earth. Also later on I found out: "The island does have a turbulent past and, as well as pirate activity in the area in days gone by, there has been a chronic problem with corruption. Many officials and businessmen are still in prison over there. This has led to some people feeling low energy..." These lines were shared by Simon, who contacted me soon after I finished touring the islands. Simon is a regular Lanzarote visitor and knows a lot more about the island's history than I do. It was fascinating to find out this info. So yeah, the "darkness" is noticeable in not just the scenery but energetically as well. Highly sensitive people be careful here.

I felt the opposite of ultimate beauty, connection, and pure bliss under the cover of the darker energies.
Although I made a video expressing my feelings one day to the camera of my phone and when I watched the recorded footage I was stunned at how different I looked. I was glowing! My face looked smooth, my eyes were big sparkly blue, my skin was silky bronze (and my hair was messy, lol). The capture of my physical form appeared divine. I was thinking it was due to the lights in the car at that time but it felt like the reflection of something else. And I couldn't help but wonder if it could be the reflection of the original energy ("Inner and outer beauty, connection to spirituality, pure bliss") of the island.
It is not just the blackness but the black & white contrast that called my attention as well. Most houses on the island are painted white providing a stark contrast with the black lava surroundings.
Nestled in the town of Nazaret you can see the Hollywood actor Omar Sherif's house which was built in the '70s. It was Jesus Soto who designed the house using the influence of the Canary Islands' well-known architect César Manrique therefore many are misled by believing that Omar's house was designed by Manrique. An interesting fact is that the actor didn't enjoy his beautiful and unique home for long as he lost the house in a card game (bridge) and apparently he never returned to the island after that and the house now operates as a restaurant and museum.
PLAYA DEL RISCO
My host told me about the Path of the Gracioseros (Camino de Los Gracioseros) which leads to Playa del Risco from where La Graciosa seems to be just a stone's throw away. The top of the path has to be reached by car from the vicinity of Mirador de Yé.
"This trekking route goes along the path that inhabitants of La Graciosa took to go back and forth to Lanzarote. This 600m route of average to high difficulty, depending on whether it is uphill or downhill, goes along the cliffs of Famara, in the north, with the island of La Graciosa across the Río. The trek along the volcanic rocks is somewhat slippery at times and ends at sea level." https://www.hellocanaryislands.com/paths/lanzarote/camino-de-los-gracioseros/
It took me about 25 minutes to come down to sea level on the steep slippery rocky path and another 15 minutes to walk in the sand to reach the water. The physically demanding path requires attention and focus because it's quite narrow and there are many small rocks around that you have to be careful not to step on or slow down to avoid falling. The strong wind made it a bit scary for me because I had a bit of fear of heights but I managed the challenge by only looking where I step and holding on to the side of the rocks and didn't look down to the deep until I was close enough to sea level to feel safe. It was much easier to climb back up because I had a better grip on the rocks and could push myself up with my legs and hands. It took me somewhat slower to climb up because I needed to stop or slow down to catch my breath on the way. It was very exciting and I was proud of myself that I did it!
My host said that he comes here sometimes with friends to surf which means they carry down the surfboards in their arms on this challenging path which sounds impossible to me to do. But they are amazing to have such a passionate and adventurous spirit! 👏
